We are in the last days of Israel 07

Now that Tuvia is close to normal and Ami is getting ready to own a great property in his favorite section of Israel, Neve Tzedeck, I am ready to buy a few things in a great ceramic cooperative. I have a few people to buy for and spend some time with Adi, who has been dealing with her two young kids, and a house filled with colds that never stop.
Tuvia has come to appreciate the notion of dining out rather than eating out and we discovered a great spot right next to our hotel. It has food and drinks and would make a great spot of a late night drink on the way home. Something for future trips. The next one will probably happen in late fall. Cool to plan the next trip here as this one finishes. There’s a few more people to see before we leave for the craziness that awaits us back home.

Say more about the differences between dining out and eating out! I’ve never heard anyone talk about these as different!

I just created that distinction based on a conversation with Tuvia. He has come over to my way of thinking that it’s nicer to pick a restaurant with atmosphere and someone to serve you as opposed to a place that…Here’s an example. He has a favorite place to eat falafel. It’s on a corner spot on Ben Yehudah St. in Tel Aviv. No menus, you give in your order to a guy behind the counter and you select the items you want to include in your pita. I said no falafels. He smiled and dumped in 3. The guy at the next table knew better. He got plates of salad but you don’t know that unless you know.
Now last night we ate at a cool place right next to our hotel. Tuvia needed to get out of “prison” for a few hours. It was on the early side, so not too many people yet, but the staff spent a lot of time with us. Nice tables, a bar area, lovely plates of food, good food and great treatment. It was a pleasure to sit and soak up the atmosphere, with some music as well.
Now what would you choose? I am not opposed to eating out when it’s necessary, but on vacation when time is not an issue. NO way!
