Very nice, Bonnie. I’d like to know more about the Museum walk of artifacts of writers’ lives. Sounds like a great thing to do.
    Take care ~ Lynn

Bonnie, I loved watching this. And glad to see the HVWP is like New York’s – The New York City EATING and Writing Project! I too would love to hear more about the artifact activity – did everyone bring something or things that first day? I have done something with postcards – asking people to choose one and explain how it is a metaphor for their teaching life but yours seems different.

Your narration is so smooth and enlightening – thanks for sharing this!

Thanks so much both of you. This literacy museum comes from the work of Nancy McCraken. We had the TC’s bring in artifacts from their writing life and they spent time writing about the objects and then we did a museum walk and left comments for their display and then throughout the Si we tried to return to their literacy lives during their experience with the SI. I’m not sure how successful that was.

I think it would be a piece of cake for you Stacey. Take a look at Photo Story 3. It’s a free download from Microsoft. Drop and drag and there’s lots of tutorials just Googling. We have some on our site: http://techstories.edublogs.org/
