Thanks so much for this list, Bonnie. I value your movie opinions, so will be sure to put all these in my Netflix cue.

I didn't like The Changeling, for example. I saw it right after Rachel Getting Married which was so subtle and subdued that I found it to be overblown and unnatural. I know most people disagree with me on that one. I also found the Visitor to be pretty boring. But most of your picks I don't think I've seen yet even though they're on my Netflix queue. I'd like to come out with a list but I haven't seen enough of 2008's movies yet to do so.

Back at you, Matt. We are both passionate about movies. That's a great club to be members of. Loved Rachel as well, but this is not a list in any order. Is your's up yet? I have to check

Hi Bonnie,

Thanks for your list. I notice we don't always agree but I always enjoy reading your reviews. I haven't seen all your picks but Rachel Getting Married would be at the top of my list. I loved that movie.

Happy New Year to you Stacie. It pays to live so close to "funky" theaters. I'm also a junkie for the Sunday NY Times Arts and Leisure.

Wow, some list, Bonnie!

I've seen some of these, had others on my 'must see' list and still others I hadn't heard of (<i>Then She Found Me</i>, for example ... how did that one slip by?).

Thanks for the reviews, and Happy New Year!

I loved that flick as well. I want to hear your comments on Man on Wire when you see it.

Hi Bonnie
Thanks for this list, which I will bookmark for my Netflix.
You know, I turned a corner with Clint when he did "Bird" -- the story of Charlie Parker that I still think of as wonderfully haunting and in which Forest Whittaker really came into view as a deep actor.
And Man on a Wire ... you know I want to see that one.
